Process Directions
Explain the 5 steps to your students:
1. Survey - Glance over the section of the textbook you are about to read, noting the title, first and last paragraphs, and illustrations in the text.
2. Question - Ask questions about the text, headings, subheadings, and vocab words.
3. Read - Read through the text.
4. Recite - Summarize what you have just read.
5. Review - Answer questions from the beginning, and look over summary to review your answers.
