Strategy: Wallpaper Poster
Tool: Wallpaper Poster
Basics
Time: 15 minutes or longer Room Arrangement: No adjustment necessary Materials: One Wallpaper Poster per group of 3-4 students Process Directions
1. Divide students into groups with 3-4 students per group. 2. Give each group on Wallpaper Poster sheet. 3. After a lecture or movie, ask students to define the concept or key idea(s). 4. Then, ask them to work together to make just one symbol per group for the concept. 5. Ask them to list as many examples as they can think of after they have finished designing their symbol. 6. When all groups are finished, come together as a class to share ideas. |
Example
This could be done after watching a movie on simple machines. Each group might be given a different simple machine to focus on, and after all groups are finished, the class could come together to discuss all of the simple machines.
