Strategy: Give and Go
Process Directions
1. Give each student one Give and Go sheet. 2. Read the directions on the Give and Go sheet aloud. 3. Monitor the students as they exchange ideas. 4. Once all students are finished, collect their papers and use them as you talk about their answers as a whole group. Example
After explaining what pollution is, but before talking about types of pollution and ways in which humans pollute air, water, and land, dig into students prior knowledge by asking students "What are some ways that people pollute their environment?" Encourage them to think creatively. |
