Strategy: Combination Notes
Tool: Combination notes sheet
Process Directions
1. Hand out notes sheet to students. 2. Explain that there are 4 columns to this sheet, and each column is designed for something specific: a big idea, general notes, a picture, or a question. 3. Ask students to listen to a lecture or read from a book and write down notes using those four categories. |
Example
This could be done in a lecture on the types of clouds. In the "big ideas" column would be the names of the types of clouds. The "notes" section would contain information about the types of clouds. There would be a picture of clouds in the third column, and any questions about clouds in the last column.
